The second phase of the West Acton Villageworks project, 525 Mass Ave features 35,000sf of mixed-use retail, restaurant, brewery, office, and events space. This project featured the "deconstruction" and materials salvage of an existing uninhabitable two-family house, and a craned relocation of a single-family home across the site for conversion to commercial space prior to commencement of general construction activities.
Street level commercial spaces open to public sidewalks and plazas along Mass Ave - a busy thoroughfare and major regional commuter route. On the upper level, commercial space opens to The Gallery at Villageworks, a flexible, solar-powered event venue featuring rotating art exhibits, meeting rooms, and open reception space for public cultural events, corporate functions, and private celebrations.
Energy efficient planning, design, and construction offer our business tenants reduced occupancy costs, while a large rooftop PV array provides the buildings occupants with roughly 120,000 kwh of clean solar energy every year.
A total street re-design of Massachusetts Avenue helped reduce traffic speeds and provided new on-street and off-street garage parking, sidewalks, signalized pedestrian crosswalk, bike infrastructure, and public plazas that tie 525 Mass Ave into the surrounding community and facilitate street festivals and other public uses and activities.

The 1940 Mountain Road project transformed a postage-stamp lot into a multi-tenant, mixed-use property at a key intersection on the main thoroughfare to Stowe Mountain Resort. Three commercial spaces and one 4-BR rental apartment fit efficiently inside an energy-efficient envelope designed to withstand harsh Vermont winters, while tenants are provided simple access around Stowe via a curbside bus shuttle stop and the Stowe cycling/walking path located across the street.
1976 Mountain Rd contains the historic Rocky River Lodge and a large adjacent building lot situated on the Mountain Rd (VT108) — the primary road to Stowe Mountain Resort. This project is currently in the planning phase.
We incorporate on-site energy production into our projects whenever possible to provide our tenants with clean, renewable power.
